MDX components
Accordion
Where the Accordion appears in the docs renderer and which MDX alternatives to use for FAQs
Overview
The Accordion is a collapsible section component in the docs renderer's UI library. It is intended for FAQs and optional detail that readers can expand when they need it.
The Doxa component reference that generated pages follow does not list the Accordion. It documents no MDX tag name, props, or variants for it. Until that reference covers it, do not write <Accordion> tags in your pages, because the reference does not confirm they render.
Use these components instead
For the same jobs, use components that the component reference documents:
| Need | Use | Reference |
|---|---|---|
| Highlight a requirement, warning, or consequence | Note | Note |
| Show alternatives such as package managers or languages | Tabs | Tabs |
| Write a numbered procedure | Step with StepItem | Step |
| Link to related pages | Card in a CardGrid | Card |
For FAQs, write each question as a heading followed by its answer. Headings appear in the page outline and in search, and readers can scan them without expanding anything.
#### Can I use a custom domain?
Yes. Attach it from the dashboard and add the DNS records it shows you.
#### Does publishing change the live site immediately?
Only after you publish the branch. Edits on a branch stay in preview until then.
